The title of this post closely describes how, up until now, tend to be when it comes to goal setting. In the past if I set a goal for myself and messed up even a little I would beat myself up mentally (feel like a failure) or just throw in the towel.
Thus far for the year of 2018, I have set five different weekly challenges. None of which have become habit yet. I still have to put forth a consciences effort daily to achieve these goals. There have been some days when I have fallen short (i.e., maybe drank only 40 oz. of water instead of 60). The difference I am seeing in myself is that now if I fall short I do not use that as an excuse to give up.
Even though I may not accomplish everything perfectly every day, I am heading in the right direction.
Focus on your achievements not your missteps.
