The challenges from weeks 1 – 3 are still in full force, they have not become an established habit yet, but I know that as I continue to practice them they will.
Confess God’s word – This week’s challenge is to start confessing, out loud, God’s word at least two times or more a day.
The Bible has numerous scriptures about the power of our words (mouth). I do believe that what comes out of my mouth has a direct impact on how I think, feel, react…
I want to start quoting scriptures (out-loud) that pertains to whatever circumstances I might be encountering at any given time. For example; currently I am dealing with some medical issues, so I will quote healing scriptures. If I find myself becoming angry, then quote scriptures about anger and so on.
I have a book by Joyce Meyers that is titled, “The Secret Power of Speaking God’s Word,” it is a small book that list issues such as; anger, control, peace, forgiveness…in alphabetical order and contains Bible verses that address these issues. This small book will easily fit into my purse and I will be able to have it wherever I go, because I never know when I need God’s word.
According to the Holy Bible (which I do believe), the word of God is a powerful weapon. Below are just a few verses.
Hebrews 4:12 – For the word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword (NIV Study Bible).
2 Corinthians 10:4 – The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world (NIV Study Bible).
Ephesians 6 talks about the armor of God, verse 17 the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (NIV Study Bible).
It is time for me to start using the sword of truth (word of God) in my life to fight my daily battles.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
Comments, suggestions… always welcome
